Buldozer is a granular insecticide designed with a unique mode of action, making it highly effective even against pests that have developed resistance to other commonly used insecticides. Its systemic action reaches borers hiding deep inside the stem where sprays cannot reach.
Mode of Action
Buldozer mainly targets the muscles of the insect through a precise three-step mechanism:
- Ingestion – The insect eats the crop that has absorbed the Buldozer granules through its root system.
- Muscle Lock – The active ingredient binds to the Ryanodine Receptors in the insect's muscles, causing all stored calcium to leak out uncontrollably.
- Paralysis & Death – Without calcium, the muscles become paralyzed. The insect cannot swallow or move, stops crop damage instantly and dies of starvation within 2–3 days.
